It was an amazing experience to stay there. I had good food at the restaurant and service was great. There is no elevator but the staff brought my luggage up the stairs for me. I had booked a really nice room with street view and the noise was minimal.
Spent one night for a work trip. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Cracking nights sleep and a lovely breakfast. Very good value also and the location is perfect for a walk around the town centre. Would definitely book again.
From the moment we arrived. We were treated with kindness, compassion and professionalism. The food is served hot, and with big portions. The room was excellent! Welcoming and homely. Staff are friendly and helpful. The next time I visit Inverness I will be staying here again!

This place is fabulous! The rooms are updated and cozy. The pub downstairs is tasty and fresh with a great whisky collection. The breakfast spread exceeded all expectations. We had a relaxing and romantic weekend, and the Blackfriars' staff was extremely accommodating. In fact, we had an issue with a package being returned a week after we left. Graham (the GM) when above and beyond to ensure the package was delivered appropriately stateside. We are eager to head back to Inverness. The hotel is conveniently located and super clean. Thanks again!
To be positive, we liked our cosy room with a good shower as it was comfortable and conveniently located in Inverness near the town centre, train and bus station. We tried the restaurant first night. I had slow cooked pork belly which I had to send back as it was basically a black rind around a black pudding. They served it again in a better colour but it was still basically a rind around a massive of black pudding which was too much to digest. My wife had the chicken burger but she didn't finish it. Breakfast was better but I wasn't not keen on spending £5.50 for a bowl of porridge... There are better eating options in Inverness if you look around.
The bar & restaurant staff were helpful and attentive. Its kitchen staff were marvelous and fabulously cooking. The room had its perks of being great and being cornered with bits of problems. The bathtub was great and right in the middle but no soap or shampoo was placed nearby. Also the coffee machine was stucked. So we did not end up using it. There was a bit of alerting noise in one corner of the room. We reported the problem and staff assured it is going to be taken care of.
We stayed at the family room. It was exceptional. They welcomed us with a basket with goods and two bottles of water. The room was very clean and cozy. We liked that it was divided in two rooms and the kids had their own space. Breakfast was very nice and the staff very friendly! We highly recommend it!
